TYPES OF DEMONSTRATORS:

Discount Demonstrator: Likes the idea of buying stamps for personal use at a discount and occasionally sells to friends and family.

Short-term Demonstrator: Sells for short period of time to earn a specific amount of money and stops when reaches her goal.

Hobby Demonstrator: Loves doing workshops and classes and earning extra money when it's convenient; works a lot some months and very little, or none, other months.

Career Demonstrator: Views Stampin' Up! as a viable business with long-term career potential; pursues management and wants to move up the career ladder, regularly attends Stampin' Up! events and has developed close social relationships with other demonstrators, works at her business in a consistent manner.

Here are the Frequently Asked Questions I hear most:

Q: What are the minimum sales requirements?

A: You only have to submit $450 in sales per quarter. That is less than the average Stampin' Up! workshop! You can submit your sales in any increment you wish and still get your discount and commission. 

Q: What if I only want to do this is a hobby. Do I still have to do parties?

A: Absolutely not! 80% of Stampin' Up! demonstrators are Hobbyists who just want a great discount and love the product and free stuff!  You can put in your order or collect orders from family and friends to equal the $450 minimum for the quarter.

Q: Can I be my own Hostess?

A: Yes, you can be your own hostess, any time you want.  You can invite your friends and family into your home and do a workshop.  You will be the hostess, earn the hostess rewards and also receive the demonstrator instant income and commission!

Q: What if I decide I don't like it once I've started? Will I penalized if I quit or is there a certain time frame I have to be a demonstrator?

A: You can choose to stop any time you choose. You simply stop putting in your minimum sales.  You keep everything that came in your kit to enjoy yourself...but I'm sure once you start, you won't want to stop! 

Q: Do people really make money at this?

A: Yes!  There are demonstrators who make $1000 - $15000+ a month!  There are even cash awards given out during the year for personal performance and achievements and at Convention too!

Q: Where will I get ideas for my parties and classes?

A: Stampin' Up! has many resources for demonstrators,  the annual catalogue and 2 seasonal catalogues per year, the demonstrator website, Stampin' Connection, bi-monthly Impressions magazine, training videos and more!  It is okay to copy your projects from these sources and use them in your parties and classes...in fact, it's encouraged!!  You don't have to think of everything by yourself.  I wouldn't be where I am today if I had not borrowed and shared ideas!

Q:  Are there any Stampin' Up! events that I can attend as a new demonstrator?

A: Yes! Almost all of them!  Every year Stampin' Up! has an annual convention (see My STORY)in Australia as well as one in America.  It's 3-4 days long and is SO much fun! Seriously!  It's like a long play weekend!  Can you imagine hundreds or thousands of crazy stampers getting together to share ideas and stamp!? It's awesome! There are also regional seminars throughout the year and some local events too!
